Thumbs up for 3DLasVegas from New York Daily NewsThursday, December 09, 2010 ![]() More kudos are rolling in for the launch of 3DLasVegas.com. Travel writer Robert Dominguez of the New York Daily News wrote in his "Get Outta Here!" blog that the new website "allows users to virtually visit Vegas — a highly detailed, animated, 3D version of the city, that is." Launched this week, 3DLasVegas.com is a captivating blend of Google Earth and interactive travel booking site. With just the touch of a mouse, you can view and explore the cityscape from multiple angles — everything from a sidewalk stroll to a bird's eye view of Sin City. 3D Travel, Inc. CEO Craig Carapelho noted in the piece that the virtual, 3D component of the site puts Las Vegas' manifold attractions in perspective, unifying all the elements of a traditional search."Where else can you enter a virtual world where everything is in context?" says Carapelho. "This is much better than mapping. You can navigate Vegas in the virtual world and the photographs and videos are right there, too. You've got the best of everything." After asking readers to visit the site and view our video tour, Sean O'Neill wrote, "Will the added sense of depth and action improve your travel-planning decisions?" We'd like to know what you think of the site, too. After flying around in 3D, feel free to give us your feedback. We'd love to hear from you. |
