Alan Fuerstman

Alan Fuerstman is CEO of Montage Hotels & Resorts, a hotel and resort management company that he founded in 2002 to serve the affluent traveler and homeowner. Montage operates the brand's flagship resort, the Craftsman-style Montage Laguna Beach, ranked among the top resorts in the world and with the first-ever Forbes five-star-rated spa. The brand’s second hotel in Beverly Hills achieved five-star recognition within a year of opening, and became the first hotel in Southern California and one of four hotels worldwide to be awarded Gold LEED certification. The company will open its third resort, Montage Deer Valley, located in Park City, Utah in December 2010. Montage currently has properties and branded Montage Residences under development in Deer Valley, Utah; Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Hawaii; Northern California and The Bahamas.

Prior to launching Montage, Mr. Fuerstman was the vice president of hotel operations at Bellagio in Las Vegas, president and managing director of The Phoenician resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, and was responsible for ITT Sheraton's  Luxury Collection properties. He also served as GM of El Conquistador Resort and Country Club in Tucson, and began his career with Marriott International. Mr. Fuerstman currently serves on the board of trustees for Gettysburg College, the Northern Arizona University School of Hotel and Restaurant Management's Advisory Board, and the Resort Committee of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. He is a graduate of Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania and is married with four children.
