Jason RushinV.P. of Marketing and Product Development
Jason brings more than 15 years of experience in high-tech marketing, consulting and engineering. He's the founder of HulaCopter, a mobile marketing platform that was aquired by 3D Travel, Inc. in July of 2012. Prior to launching HulaCopter, Jason served as a marketing leader for several Silicon Valley startups covering big-data analytics, customer relationship management, enterprise sales and software procurement. At Quantivo, Jason led all marketing while repositioning the company to target higher-growth industries. He was Director of Marketing & Product Management at Nextance, where he elevated the brand to a recognized leader in the contract management space, then successfully led the marketing, product and engineering teams through an acquisition and reorganization. As a product marketing manager with Siebel Systems, Jason launched several new products in key industry sectors, and led a strategic change management team that vastly improved sales performance. He also served as a consulting manager at Accenture and several boutique consulting firms, where he was responsible for strategic sourcing teams at F500 companies. Jason began his tech career managing client projects at e-commerce pioneer FreeMarkets (now Ariba/Oracle).
Jason serves on the steering committee of Startup Hawaii (a Startup America region), writes about Hawaii's startup ecosystem at AlohaStartups.com, and regularly consults for high-tech companies in Hawaii and Silicon Valley. He is also the co-author of Behavorial Analytics for Dummies. Jason earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, and his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
