'Hawaii Five-0' premiere at Waikiki BeachIt was a C-R-O-W-D, and part of that is the hype surrounding the reincarnation of the classic series, but I can't help but wonder if it's also because everyone misses Sunset on the Beach. The movie-on-the-beach program fell victim to city budget cuts and is now held infrequently, but CBS pulled it off with big-time sponsor Chevy. C'mon Honolulu, can we get a sponsor? The series main stars were on the red carpet (Alex O'Loughlin, Scott Caan, Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim), as well as Al Harrington from the original series. Terrific entertainment from Willie K and others while fans waited under a very hot September sun — people were grateful for that sunset when it came. Scroll for photos.
