    TVV's must-do's in Hawaii

The scrappy group at Team Vision Virtual doesn't spend all day behind a desk working out website kinks (though, admittedly, leading up to the launch of 3DHawaii.com there was a stretch of it). We get out to play, too! We're fortunate to call this island paradise home and we don't waste all our time indoors. Here are our suggestions for must-do's if you're spending some time in Hawaii –- you fortunate people, you.

    Christine Strobel, Online Editor

Waikiki: Hit the Diamond Head Crater trail that takes you to the pillboxes at the summit. Best views of the city, bar none. If you plan it for a Saturday morning, you can hit the farmers market at Kapiolani Community College, right near the crater entrance, where you can get a freshly muddled ginger soda. For dining, hit Shokudo next to Ala Moana Shopping Center on Kapiolani Boulevard (and their late-night happy hour Sunday-Wednesday, 10:30 p.m. till closing is cheap, tasty fun). Maui. Experience the moonscapes of Haleakala Crater by walking the Sliding Sands Trail. File under So-Strange-It's-Cool. Take SPF and water and snacks: the elevation will wear at you.

    Katie Graves, Online Product Manager

Kaneohe Bay Sandbar. The tide recedes and this middle-of-the-bay sandbar offers ankle-deep warm water to lounge in, toss a ball or frisbee around, picnic and barbecue. You'll need a boat from the Kaneohe marina or you can take a tour.

Kailua. I love, love, love the chai tea lattes they make at Kalapawai Market, right (the one next to the beach on Kalaheo Avenue). Photo: Kalapawai Market by David Croxford, Hawaii Magazine.

    Kelli Murata, Marketing Intern

Oahu. (1) Hike Koko Crater for the experience. Just once is enough. (2) Eat shave ice from Matsumoto's on the North Shore, with azuki beans and mochi balls. (3) Must eat a spam musubi (spam on a cake of rice, wrapped in seaweed) -- you can find them anywhere. (4) Order saimin from McDonald's, left. Photo: Torus via Creative Commons.

Big Island. Visit Waipio Beach on the Hamakua coast -- must have a 4-Wheel Drive. Famed for black sand and beautiful vistas.

    Jessica Pang, Marketing Assistant

Oahu. Buy malasadas from Leonard's Bakery on Kapahulu (original flavor!), and take them to a great lookout point like Halona Blowhole. Chow down and enjoy the view. Photo, right: Leonard's malasadas, _e.t via Creative Commons.

    David Carroll, Business Development

Oahu. Camping at Bellows Beach Park (great facilities, beautiful beach), stargazing anywhere on the east side.
